Lake Atitlán Oeste Mountain Bike Day Tour
Connect some of the best hidden viewpoints high above Lake Atitlán on this point to point cross country mountain bike tour.
In the morning we will ascend one of the steepest roads at the lake (By 4×4!) Climbing up from the shores of Lake Atitlán. Our route follows the Mesoamerican route in San José Chacayá traversing through its famous onion terraces dating back to 1000AD.
Along the northwest rim of Lake Atitlán our route follows 4000ft cliffs with impressive views of volcanoes Atitlán, Tolimán and San Pedro. We will pass through the forests of Santa Lucía Utitlán, a large pine reserve and eco-park.
Picinc Lunch
This tour includes a deluxe picnic at the Chuiraxamoló Ecological Park, a popular viewpoint 3000ft above Santa Clara Atitlán.
In the afternoon we will descend a flowy singletrack trail through cloud forest, finishing at the lake over 1000m below. This is one of the many routes that we cut and maintain on a regular basis and is exclusive to our company.
