Mountain Bike Guatemala is serching for the right cantidates with a passion for the outdoor sports and travel who would like to join a fast growing company.

Mountain Bike Guatemala offers quality tours to Guatemalans with a full calender of events as well as high-quality luxury tours to international, mostly english speaking clients.

Mountain Bike Guatemala is a mountain bike guiding and coaching company based in the mountains of Tecpán, Guatemala. We offer guided day trips from Antigua and Tecpán, as well as multi-day tours throught the country. We also provide shuttle services, lessons, and skills clinics.

Mountain Bike Guides and Instructors

We are looking for positive and energetic mountain bike guides and instructors to join our team this season!

Mountain Bike Guatemala is an industry leading mountain bike guiding and coaching company based in the mountains of Tecpán, Guatemala. We offer guided day trips from Antigua and Tecpán, as well as multi-day tours throught the country. We also provide shuttle services, lessons, and skills clinics.

This is a part time seasonal position with casual working hours which may lead to full time, seasonal employment opportunities in the future. Applicants are required to have flexible schedules and the ability to pick up shifts upon short notice.

This job is for Spanish and English speakers

Job Type: Part Time, Seasonal
Location: Antigua Guatemala, Tecpán, Guatemala
Dates: October 2021 – March 2022

Wage: Q200-Q350 /day based on training level and experience

Duties Include:

  • Preparing and managing rental equipment
  • Safely guiding guests through all styles and difficulties of mtb trails
  • Instructing mtb lessons in both private and group settings
  • Choosing appropriate terrain, effectively managing risk, and promoting a high level of trail riding etiquette
  • Managing daily budget and keeping expense records
  • Help with food and lunch preparation
  • Maintaining in GPS and Radio Communication
  • General guest services – everything from telling jokes to repairing bikes

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a strong and capable rider with a passion for mountain biking
  • Detailed knowledge of mtb trails, trail systems, and shuttle access roads
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of bike maintenance and repairs
  • Must possess excellent communication and social skills
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team, as well as unsupervised

Other Assets Include:

  • Basic level of english
  • Previous experience working in the mountain bike industry
  • Previous experience guiding and instructing mountain bikes
  • Previous guiding/instructing experience in other outdoor sports i.e hiking, motorcycle, 4×4
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience working around helicopters
  • Previous practical first-aid and risk management experience

Digital Content Creator

(Videography, Photography, Social Media Management)

Are you a professional and fun loving photographer and videographer with a background or education in social media marketing?

Do you love riding bikes and have a thirst for incredible mtb experiences, travel, and adventure? If so, we might just have the perfect opportunity for you! The successful candidate be willing to travel and acompany us on several tours throughout our season

Job Type: Full Time, 25 Week Contract
Location: Guatemala
Dates: October 17 – January 15, 2022

Wage: Q1000 / week (2 working days onsite + editing)


Duties Include:

  • Producing high quality photo and video content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Delivering an agreed upon amount of professional quality photos and video clips, fully produced and edited promotional videos, or weekly “vlog” style YouTube videos.
  • Working with our management team to develop and implement social media and email marketing strategies.

Job Requirements:

  • Education and/or previous experience with digital marketing and content creation.
  • Previous experience planning, filming, and producing professional quality video edits.
  • Previous experience planning and executing professional quality photo shoots.
  • Previous experience managing social media platforms for business.
  • Must have your own modern and well maintained enduro style mountain bike and be a proficient and fit rider. You don’t have to be a pro but you will be riding some of the biggest and sometimes gnarliest trails in the world.
  • Must have your own high quality video and photo equipment (cameras, drone, GoPro’s etc.) as well as a computer with editing software, and mobile device.

Other Assets Include:

  • Experience with graphic design.
  • Experience operating adventure sports photo and video shoots specifically in a guided group setting.
  • Proficiency in mountain bike riding including a high level of fitness
  • Previous experience working in the mountain bike industry.

Tour Driver (no vehicle required)

Job Type: Part Time, Weekends
Location: Antigua, Guatemala & Tecpán, Guatemala
Dates: October 2021 – March 2022

More than a driver, our pilots must integrate as part of our tour team, adjust thier routes on the fly, be comfortable following GPS tracks and focus on customer satisfaction and hospitality.

Duties Include:

  • Extreme punctuality, safe driving between points
  • Cleaning of vehicles, management of equipment
  • Keeping in constant radio communication
  • Following GPS and Map directions
  • Assitance with Picinic preparation
  • Maintaining clean higene and high leveles of sanitization
  • Overnight trips

Job Requirements

  • Valid drivers license / DPI
  • Minimum 2 years experience in tourism
  • Cell phone
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

  • Food selection and creation of menu
  • Ingredients Purchasing
  • Work in our cabin and acompaning trips
  • Picinic preparation
  • Outdoor food preperation Asados / BBQ
  • Maintaining clean higene and high leveles of sanitization
  • Management of Inventory of cutlery / Plates
  • Assitance of cleaning duities

Job Requirements:

  • Background in food service and hosipitality
  • Some schooling or professional chef training beneficial.
  • Good knife skills and basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Experience following recipes and guidelines.
  • Work efficiently in a non- supervised environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

Administrative Assistent

Job Type: Part Time, Seasonal
Location: Antigua Guatemala, Tecpán, Guatemala

Wage: Q4000 / monthly

Duties Include:

  • Hotel reservations
  • Staff and asset management
  • Calender management
  • Tour bugeting and accounting

Sales Representative

This is a job for self-motivated individuals with strong communication skills. Cantidates will work on their own time from their prefered location. With compensation based on sales.

This is a spanish speaking position.

Job Type: Part Time
Location: Mobile / Work from home
Dates: Perpetual

Wage: up to Q5000 / month based on level of sales

Duties Include:

  • Communicating via telephone, whatsapp, messenger
  • Learning the tours we sell which may include acompanying the tours
  • Selling packaged tours
  • Preparing custom quotes / Invoices
  • Negociating with clients
  • Pre-tour communication and follow up
  • Managing and maintaining client database

Job Requirements:

  • Must have experience in hospitality and customer service
  • Expert computer skills
  • Detailed knowlege of Facebook Business Suite, Instagram, and Whatsapp Messenger
  • Must have reliable internet connection
  • Must be reachable 24hrs a day
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team, as well as unsupervised
  • Must keep your own record of work hours and submit weekly reports
